Hi Rob,
I don't see that happening. What are you doing exactly? What button are you pushing in Mach3?

Subject: Re: Homing, zeroing work offset as opposed to zeroing machine |
Hi Tom,
If I move my table to some middle position(eg, left corner of my fixed jaw on my vice) in g54... Then Press 'zero x' to record that work offset location to zero. When I do this, there is now a different value between my workoffset and machine coordinate.
My machine coordinates on my homing switches are all zero (always, at least when they have been homed)
When I go to rehome, by pressing 'ref x', it ends up homing and finding my switch and zero's my workoffset and machine coordinate system again. Thus, making the machine coordinate(location at home switch) equaling the same value as work offset. This zeroing of the workoffset ends up loosing the location of the corner of my vice causing workoffset to equal machine coordinate values.
At least this is what I am observing on my x axis. I will run some more test tonight to make sure I didn't confuse myself:)
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Tom,
Problem is solved.
It was specifically my z axis and A axis. Y and x axis worked as expected. My cause of the issue was fixed by deleting the zero x and zero y buttons and recreating them. At first I suspect it was syntax in the vbscript, but I couldn't fix the syntax prior to deleting them. Once deleted and recreated, then all was better. Now I am getting values other than zero stored in my fixture offsets!!! Thanks,
Rob
